Trucks, trains, cowboy boots were all fun and exciting. But a book was always, always the gift that never got thrown into the toy box or lost under the bed. I still remember some of the books I received as a kid. I feel sorry for those kids today that read nothing more than a blurb from some gossip tabloid on their phones. Too easy to avoid real learning. And too costly for their future.
